------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun May 28 12:16:18 -0700 2006 ------- There are a raft of issues on this error for multiple platforms: 57522 (Mac), 24539 (PC), 38301 (All), 49271 (PC), 19906 (PC) etc. However, most of these are closed or old, but I have received exactly the same error today (5/28/06) as best described in Issue 49271. First time a file is attemtped to be saved, the message pops up (twice): ************************* file:///usr/lib/openoffice/share/basic/webwizard/script.xlb/; General Error General Input/Output Error ************************** Although this error, which appears twice after the OK button is clicked (GNOME interface), the file-save seems to perform ok, but it disabled my Eclipse package, which I have been using for some time. Immediately after I got this error, I got a JVM error from Eclipse when trying to open Eclipse. My version of Eclipse is running JDK 1.5, so perhaps this version of OpenOffice is not compatible enough with the new JRE or JVM.
