Confirming 2.0.2 OS X and XP. On my machines it's completely blank, no
gridlines. To reproduce, open
provided file with OO first, or download a fresh copy. Excel indeed alters the
file just by opening it,
correcting whatever is wrong with it, even if you close it without saving(!).
