Open OpenOffice Writer, go to File > Open, Insert Floppy Disk in to physical
media slot.

Now we have a problem, we have an open dialog which is non-gnome standard so it
doesn't have the media bar so we can't click on the floppy disk and we have a
break in the work flow. for people coming from windows they have _no_ idea how
to now open their files in open office using the file menus.

For an experenced linux user you have to know that first we need to mount the
floppy disk using eithr a command or by clicking on the floppy link in gnomes
system menu, then we need to know that the media was mounted to /media/floppy
now we can go back to open office and use the open dialog to get the file off
the disk.

I would like to see beter intergration into the operating systems dialog and
file controls.
