------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Jun 4 22:02:41 -0700 2006 ------- Alright, now I'm getting somewhere. I'm pretty sure my hunch was somewhere close to the truth. I knew the file wouldn't save after I filled one more cell, so I counted the number of cells "like" that one cell. The change that caused the hang was to merge two adjacent cells along a row. I counted the number of times this merge format occurred in my sheet. 65535. When I copy this merge format to one more pair of cells, I can no longer save the file. So I thought, if it's just the number of occurrences of a *format*, maybe it doesn't matter what the cell *contents* are. Sure enough, I could delete *all* cell contents from the whole sheet, and just leave the formatting, and I can still reproduce the problem. Without the contents, the sheet is way less than 1MB, so I will attach it. I just had to know what could be deleted and still reproduce the failure. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
