Indexes in Writer are write-protected by default and this will be correctly exported to MS Word. The write-protection can be removed in Writer in the index dialog. In Word you can do this via Tools.Document protection. What do you mean by "OO.o wraps bibliography tables". What is a wrapped "Table of contents"?
