------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jun 8 08:25:57 -0700 2006 ------- When I write a document with bulleted lists that are indented with paragraph formatting and bullet formatting, and then save it in Microsoft Word XP format (*.doc), when I reopen it, the indent value has changed, and a new tab stop has been added to the paragraph. Procedure: 1. Open a new OO Writer document 2. Type a line of text 3. Right click -> Paragraph at a location in the line 4. The paragraph format dialog box comes up. Set the indent to 1". press "OK" 5. Right click -> Numbering/Bullets at a location in the line 6. the bullets dialog comes up. Select a bullet style (I chose the small dot). Press "OK" 7. The line should now be bulleted 8. Right click -> Numbering/Bullets at a location in the line 9. Under the "position" tab in the bullet dialog, set the indent to be -0.5 inches. (click in another box to make the changes stick if you typed them in) 10. press "OK" 11. The bulleted line of text should now be starting at 0.5 inches. The ruler should reflect that the indent is at 1 inch, and the actual bullet should be at 0.5 inches. If this is not the case, then go back to the bullet dialog and make sure that the indent is -0.5 inches 12. save the file as type Word for XP 13. close all OO Writer windows 14. Open up the file again 15. The bulleted line may or may not be in the correct position, but now, there are two differences: -- the paragraph indent has changed to 0.5", and the bullet indent has become 0 inches -- an extra tab stop has magically appeared somewhere around 0.75 inches Sometimes, depending on the actual indent dimensions, repeatedly editing and saving the document causes an extra tab stop to be added each time, and the paragraph indent to decrease by the the exact amount of the bullet indent. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
