changing the target to 2.x but will not be fixed until cws aw014 is integrated
which is currently planned for 2.0.5

The problem is that this is nut only a bug. With the new presentation engine in
2.0 we also switched to a different method to do animation along a curve. In OOo
1.x we used a path shape that could be assigned as a path to an animated shape.

For 2.0, you could have more than one path for each shape as each shape can have
multiple animations. This also improves interopperability with other major
presentation applications available. But this need a complete new user interface
solution where the user is able to edit a path that is itself not a shape inside
the document. for that I need an overlay functionality and aw is working hard on
getting this.

I'm sorry for the delay but again this is not an easy fix. I'm afraid if you
need this feature and do not like the new presentation engine you have to stick
with 1.x
