In my case, I need to keep the templates organized by directories and subdirectories other than the program default ones (also, because I often modify and update my templates and I need to make them available for the people who work in my law firm). So, the best solution would be to keep the UI template path setting as it is in OOo 2.0.2 and prior, until the bug (which never occurred to me, truly) is fixed for OOo 2.0.4.
