I normally then right click and select delete or insert from the context menu. I thought this was available in 1.x but do not see this option in my context menu for 2.0.2. This is further complicated (for the user, I think) by the fact that the option to insert the cells is until the Insert menu, but to delete cells is under the Edit menu. I understand that you can use Ctrl+ / Ctrl- to do this as well, but my reflex goes to the context menu.
