User mba changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Assigned to|od |mba -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Target milestone|OOo 3.0 |OOo 2.x -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jun 29 01:34:07 -0700 2006 ------- The reason that we don't have a selection in a floating frame is that they are read only (this was different in OOo1.x). Of course we can select in readonly documents but in case of a floating frame it would mean we had to send an "activate" event to the document and this will switch the complete UI to readonly. So we have the following choices: - live with the current behavior - activate floating frames once clicked into it and try to keep the UI as it is - enable Writer to select on inactive views As the first option seems to be inacceptable at least for the submitter ;-) the third one would be quite some work and possibly would create new problems we will go for the second one. As this has to be done in the framework I will take this over (target will be 2.x). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
