I believe some of the keys provided by a gconf backend compiled with
ENABLE_LOCKDOWN potentially conflict with the SUN way of doing central
administration, so removing the #ifdef(s) should be a one by one decision.

However, disabling the conflicting items (if any) could very well be a runtime
decision instead of a compile time one.

But we probably should discuss this further in a different issue: since the
patch set will give us - with no doubts - a startup perfomance win compared to
m173, let's finalize this first step and start planing for the next ones.
