------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jul 12 00:19:07 -0700 2006 ------- @ace_dent: We noticed that e.g. in Impress most use cases have downscaled images. E.g. especially in the slide sorter view. Even for full screen presentations many images still need to be downscaled, because the display resolution is still orders lower than the resolution of even cheap scanners or cameras. So for big images the non-downscaled images is rare in OOo. So even if the additional cost for non-downscaled interlaced PNG decoding was 50% higher than the alternative it would still be worth it, because the more usual case is easily 10x times faster in interlaced mode. The limit of 128x128 is debatable of course. It is still bigger than most slide previews. Of course we need to benchmark more... --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
