OK, I have another spreadsheet, only 3.1MB, and OOo has been in the
process of opening this spreadsheet for over two hours.

Office XP on a slower box, a 500Mhz dual Xeon with only 512MB of RAM,
opens this same spreadsheet in under a minute, even with Norton
AntiVirus scanning it. Yes, the document is slightly larger than last
month's but the file I/O performance of OOo is deplorable. Do you STILL
not consider such performace issues to not warrant a P1 rating?

You really need to reconsider how defects are rated, and consider a more
conventional system where you have separate severity and priority
ratings. In an extreme case such as this I would however still consider
it to be an S1 (fatal) and P1 (highest-priority) defect, especially in
light of the fact that the very competitor (Microsoft) you're attempting
to go up against opens the exact same document so quickly.
