I now compared a WinXP and a Win2000 machine. Both opened the same file at the
same speed on OOo 2.0.3. Does the document contain links to Internet source
files (such as graphics)? Maybe it is due to the wrong Proxy settings of OOo's
"Tools.Options.Internet". Please have a look.
