OK, when we assume the Readme is right and it was just not changed in the .jaav 
files this version is old; http://www.hj-gym.dk/~hj/writer2latex/ talks
about 0.4 beta2 and 0.4 final which according to the homepage fix many bugs..
I think it should be updated....

[ And also I think that it might make sense to regularily update or make
  the development in-tree, like now with pyuno to avoid getting obsolete/
  diverging ]
