It would also solve a lot of problems for LOT of people who would like to merge to a pdf file for example. Seems doable to pop up the printer selection menu (with the print to file checkbox) at the time of printing. Also, It doesn't really "work for you" because there's no way in linux to set things like "copies" and then do a merge and have them stay. Can't do it in the merge either.
