When a combining diacritical, U+0300 -- U+036F is added after a normal
alphabetic character in OpenOffice2.0.1 using Windows XP, the cursor gets lost.
The escapement seems to jump back in the line by a distance proportional to the
number of characters already entered in that line, and cannot be recovered.
New-line successfully resets the cursor, but the damaged line cannot be
repaired.

Inspection of the code shows that the diacritical is properly positioned, so it
is the display engine that seems to be at fault. OpenOffice1.1.4 did not have
this problem. The display of characters with combining diacriticals was not
entirely acceptable, but the results were readable.

My concern is with Greek. I use any one of several fonts: The Unicode fonts
supplied by the American Philological Association, such as Kadmos-UTTF or any of
the fonts supplied in the package Antioch, by Ralph Hancock. The results are
identical with all of them. Input is through my adaptation of Alexey Kryukov's
thessalonica2.0.uno package, and is works well in 1.1.4. I have not yet tried
to move up to OpenOffice 2.0.x in Linux, owing to the risk of encountering this
problem where it would be critical.

There seems to be a similar problem associated with Arabic harekat, but since
that is further complicated by bidirectional issues, it may not be germane to
this issue.
