User cmc changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Status|NEW |STARTED -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summary|gcc 4.1.2 required patch |build with gcc 4.1.2, gcj | |changes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Aug 2 02:12:08 -0700 2006 ------- excellent, gcc fixed visibility again, and reverted the build breakers. So none of the C/C++ code needs to be changed after all. On the other hand, the new gcc will rename the gcj libs to be the same as the Sun ones, and very much expect that Sun style java linking and finding mechanisms will be in operation. 1. So we need to make jvmfwk look in the sun style locations and look for libjvm like sun java to find the new gcj jvm providing lib 2. And we need a little bit of cleverness in config_office to allow a build to take place with gcj where the awt lib is now in a sun like location --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
