------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Aug 4 01:38:44 -0700 2006 ------- Open MyComputer Goto my C:\~\someDirectory\myFiles Start OO by clicking on myFile.sxw View the file, make some changes, save exit or Just view the file and exit Normally exit by selecting X, but have also exited using the menu. Go back to C:\~\sameDirectory in MyComputer Go back a directory ..\sameDirectory 1) Select the directory using a right click scroll down the menu and Select delete 2) Select the directory with a left click and press the 'Delete' key Both of these will 'attempt' to delete the file but, Windows comes back with a pop-up: _____________________________________________________ 'ERROR DELETING FILE OR FOLDER' Cannot delete myFile: Access denied Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use _____________________________________________________ Press Ctrl+Alt+Del Select Task Manager Find soffice.exe in my process list Select End Process This remove soffice.exe and soffice.bin Go back to ../myDirectory Delete it Success I do this every time i have viewed a file in OO and need to delete it, or the directory it's in. I have OO running in my quick start, not sure if this has anything to do with it. I sometimes don't delete the directory for ages and still get this problem. NOTE: When i delete, i have no OO open or active apart from the quick-launch in the bottom-right of the screen Hope this has been of help. I think it's awsome to have an Office Suite that is Open Source and beats MS hands down. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
