Reproduction:
1. Start Writer.
2. Choose the menu Format - Page.
3. Choose an option "Grid (lines and characters)" in the pane "Grid"
of the tab "Text Grid."
Confirm that both options "Display grid" and "Print grid" in the pane
"Grid display" become activated and their statuses are selected.
4. Close the dialog by clicking the button "OK."
5. Open the dialog again by choosing the menu Format - Page.
Now you would find one of the options, "Print grid", was turned to be
inactive.
6. Turn off another option "Display grid." Nothing would happen.
7. Turn on the option "Display grid."
Now you would be surprised that the option "Print grid" became active
as expected.
Is that as designed?
