Or, I can just stick with Microsoft Office and continue to advise my clients to
do the same.

Autocorrect is broken, and needs to be fixed.  Look at behavior of it in
Microsoft Office to see how things *should* be done.  If a user enters a
"mistake" twice, it should be left as it is!!!

I am just checking back with OOo.  Last time I used it was around 1.3.  It did
most of what Office did then, albeit slowly.  2.0 release is much faster, but
until the idiotic behavior of autocorrect is fixed I can't recommend it to
anyone.  It needs to either be changed, have different default settings, or
better sanity checks.
