Connection pooling made no difference. i66123 should be hooked back on again or a new Issue created. I could never get this to work on 2.0.3 without OOo crashing. The issue was opened in relation to 2.0.3. We can't simply dismiss the issue just because with m180 it doesn't crash the app any more, since what was intended to be released was 2.0.3. No one seems to have attempted / been able / has the ressources as a qa tester to set up an environment like the one I have at work (OSX and Linux machines accessing a remote mysql server via JDBC - which is not an uncommon setup), so the test environment has not yet been reproduced. The point is that the whole thing works on MacOSX with OOo 2.0.3 when you use a MyODBC connector instead of the JDBC connector.
