This is a lot of stress, especially if you are accustomed to further subgrouping individual content. Considering the current implementation, it seems as there is an undefined space defined around a group that has been entered. utilizing this undefined space by making it clickable once instead of twice would enhance overall useability. Likewise, when for example moving the mouse cursor over a group, it will allow the user to enter the group with a single click instead of also two. Of course, the behaviour on mouseover for a group should give the user some visual hint like for example outlining the group or providing other, timed hints. For example, when the user hovers or first selects, then hovers over the group for a given time, he may single click again in order to enter the group. multi-selections of groups should behave as selected, providing ability to enter the top-level groups in the selection.
