------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Feb 21 13:57:42 -0800 2005 ------- I downloaded and installed OOo 1.9 m79 on Fedora Core 3. I have Sun JRE 1.4.2 installed (and it shows up under the Options/Java dialog, and I have added the path to the Java Media Framework in the classpath dialog. If I start a new, empty presentation, and try inserting a movie, I get the error: ``The format of the selected file is not supported'' I can open the Media Player directly through Tools/Media Player, and I get the same errors if I try to insert through there. Since the Media Player window opens, it seems to suggest that Java is installed correctly. I am trying to insert an MPEG-1 movie, which plays fine with mplayer. I also tried AVI files, with the same error. Are there any further installation steps required? or is movie insert still not working under Linux? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
