------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Aug 25 00:02:36 -0700 2006 ------- I don't know whether this is related, but in the last few days I have noticed that if a document contains EPS figures and is saved there is a strong possibility that at least some of the EPS figures will be silently dropped from the document. It seems that the act of saving is causing the problem - all pictures are present and can be printed before one saves. If printing after saving, those pictures which have disappeared are replaced in the printout with the text "Read-error". Further tests I did today seem to indicate that the problem is more likely to occur if pstoedit is installed on the system; in this case pstoedit is used to generate the preview image rather than ImageMagick. So far in my tests (which have been by no means exhaustive) I have not had a picture disappear from the document during save when pstoedit was available, but it happens all the time when only ImageMagick (convert) is present. If neither pstoedit or convert are available ghostscript is used directly; in this case we have the same problem as for convert - pictures disappear during a save operation. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
