I had tested and found that OOo2.x seems to have problem working with HT or Dual Core machines. Sometimes, when copying tables or huge chunk of Calc data, the apps will just freeze up. This is especially easy to duplicate when u try to copy a Base table. The table can just consist of 2 text field but it can still hang. I had tested 2.0.1, 2.0.2 and 2.0.3. 2.0.1 seems somewhat "tolerant" of this bug but will still hang after a few tries. The problem appears with great regularity and consistency in 2.0.3 Only by setting the application affinity to 1 CPU or disabling the HT or Dual Core (at BIOS) will the problem be temporarily solved. I believed that a similar problem had been posted in the forum, http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=29332&highlight=hyperthreading I am unsure of what was wrong and do not know how to generate the necessary debugging report. Please help in this matter, as my company is replacing all the MSoffice with OOo2.0.x and this will affect all the users as all our PC are either HT or Dual Core enabled.
