------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Sep 5 10:02:29 -0700 2006 ------- The original problem showed up when I created the powerpoint under OO 2.0.3 on Ubuntu Linux and moved the ppt to Windows XP for viewing. But the behaviour is the same when I create the ppt under 2.0.3 on Windows and view under powerpoint *on the same Windows system (machine)*. I now have more info -- interestingly enough when you "open" the math equation (that was created in OO and saved as ppt) in PowerPoint, the font symbols get magically fixed, even if you don't do anything else other than close it again.
