Then with the printer cable connected and the printer turned on, reboot the computer. Then configure the printer as before. For some reason, rebooting with the computer turned on and then installing it made OO "pick up" the printer when I reinstalled Fedora Core 5 and tried it again. But the problem you describe is exactly the problem I had. Since everything else printed except OO, I'm still convinced it is an issue with OO.
