My apology for intervening.

He means that the term double-width-space refers to an ideographic space
(u3000), which exists at the third and forth position of the text in the cell.

Here is revised instructions to reproduce the phenomenon using this bugdoc:

  0. Open the bugdoc 3_292_catch2.ods with Calc.
  1. Double click on the cell B1 to edit.
  2. Locate a cursor right prior to the opening parenthesis.
  3. Type a backspace key to delete the ideograph space.

The point is position of a certain letter. Here is my guess. OOo internally
tries to decide a position where a text can be divided into two lines.
The applied attribute horizontally "justified" seems to do something special.

A sequence of certain mixed letters seems to break the functionality of
"word break iterator" which internally divides a text into some words.
Consequently, OOo seems to trap into an infinite loop.
