2006 -------
I have OOo 2.03 running on ca 12 PCs under Win98SE.
Sometimes the PCs doesnt't shutdown properly, they
hang at the part: "Windows is shutting down"

I found the Problem it is a file in the
Windows/Temp folder and it is called
PIPE_FILE_MAPPING_OSL_PIPE ... etc (Username and long key follows)
(12 Bytes in size)
This file will be created by Openoffice and in some
cases not deleted. If this file exists the PC does not
shut down.
In most cases I can delete the file manually and everything is okay
(although a very annoying thing) In some cases I cannot
delete the file, because "..it is in use" (Of course OOo is closed)
