Usually, the rotate tool woorks correctly: insert an object, press rotate and
the handles change to rotation handles. However, when the rotation tool has been
used once, it won't work correctly in a subsequent attempt: instead of changing
the handles to rotate angles, the object is deselected. To see the issue:

* Open a new presentation
* Insert a rectangle
* Press the rotate button: so far so good
* Click the rectangle button again and insert a new rectangle. When finished,
the newly created rectangle has the usual green handles.
* Now click the rotate tool: instead of changing the green handles to rotate
handles, the object is deselected. The user has to click the object again, then
the rotate tool again, before rotating is possible.
