The problem is a mismatch.
Instead of removing the declaration, add the "C" to the header
mozilla/mailnews/mime/src/mimeeobj.h
@mh: Still if this is a mozilla problem: OOo depends on mozilla. It has patches
against vanilla mozilla and thus should be buildable from within OOo.
Having mozilla fix it for "trunk" won't help OOo...
Not platform dependent, same on a FedoraCore6(test 3) with gcc 4.1.1
