The issue with the vcl module was related to my custom gcc (3.4.3 with visibility patch) as reported in Issue 42701. So, I was never able to go past vcl. :( >Do you build for a special language, do you have a special locale activated ? No. Only for en-US. Anyway, I've found a solution that works for me. I applied Caolan's patch posted on Issue 41994, rebuilt pyuno, scp2, and instsetoo_native in this order, and it worked! I forgot to mention that I chose to use system-python.
