------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Oct 11 15:32:32 -0700 2006 ------- $ java -version java version "1.5.0_07" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_07-b03) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_07-b03, mixed mode) $ echo $JAVA_HOME /usr/local/jdk $ which java /usr/local/jdk/bin/java $ However, trying to export a spreadsheet from OOo Calc results in a dialog stating "OpenOffice.org requires a Java runtime environment (JRE) to perform this task. The selected JRE is defective. [...]" I proceed to Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org > Java, click Add..., select /usr/local/jre via the unhelpful Gnome file selector, and get "The folder you selected does not contain a Java runtime environment. Please select a different folder." Running on Ubuntu 6.06. In case you're skeptical about the JRE, it works fine in Mozilla Firefox and runs Azureus with no problems. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
