I use the French version of OOo 2.0.4 so please excuse the free translation of
the functions discussed here.

In calculating Canadian mortgages ( the interest is compounded 2 times per year)
I must adjust the published rate (i.e. the effective rate) with the function
"Nominal Rate". However, the result given by this function is incorrect by about
0.2%. The mathematical equation to convert the effective rate to a nominal rate
with 2 interest periods per year is:

NOMINAL_RATE = ((1+EFFECTIVE_RATE/2)^(1/6)-1)*12

Has anyone noticed this before. Is there a solution?
