Thanks again.  I am sorry, I think I am not understanding something - and of
course I do not know the import code.  But, as I understand it, you do not put
section definitions around a Word document when there are no section marks, and
when there are, you begin the first section at the end of what is, in the Word
document, the beginning of the second section.   Given that you already only add
section marks conditional on the presence of section breaks in the Word
document, would it be hard to just add a section mark at the beginning of the
document in this situation?  I guess you are saying that it would...
