The compression of the default theme represents several months+ of computational effort, so it really should be checked in. I regularly sync my personal copy with CVS, although in the long term it is more efficient to pass on the knowledge to Stella and I have started to prepare some documents for this. I think integrating the optimized theme will have to be a highly coordinated effort between myself and Stella. It would be best to tackle this after the 2.1 release, which should include the optimized Industrial theme (CWS 'aceart02'). If we can establish a release window (for a couple of builds), where no icon changes are done behind the scenes or in CVS (an icon freeze), I can ensure the optimized theme is fully up to date. It might be wise to break this work down into more manageable Task issues for each group of icons (e.g. 'dbaccess'... etc.)? If I submit each Task (i.e. group of icons) to Stella, who can then QA/ Approve integrate them into the icon tool, I would be happy to then manage the CWS and get them upstream. Otherwise, tv can handle this.
