Indeed, any kind of usage is allowed for my cake, in fact the logo is already a
modified form (topping colour, number of candles).
And you are corect about the limitations in using the logo as a whole because of
the OOo logo usage guidelines.

Bernhard, you should consider changing the license information in SVG metadata
for the composite logo, as the entire image can't be Public Domain because of
the OOo logo (PD allows this relicensing). Note: this change inside the file can
be made with any text editor or with Inkscape.
