fme->suzhe: This is "works as designed". Please note that the character rotation
will *not* give you a "true" vertical layout. The character rotation is only
intended to rotate single characters within the current layout direction. "True"
vertical layout can be enabled by enabling "Tools - Options - Language Settings
- Languages - Enhanced language support" and setting the page layout to vertical
(Format - page - Text direction). In vertical layout, you can modify the
text-to-text alignment (base line, middle, etc.) at Format - Paragraph -
Alignment. Hope this helps.
