>I've compiled vcl without any errors (m192) and havn't found std::remove in
vcl/source/gdi/outdev3.cxx or
outdev3.cxx it appears is a bad choice, this file has been modified by the
ooo-build patch set ( and the std:remove ) added here, you're correct in this
file no 'std:r:remove' exists in the upstream source.

However, I just checked the first 2 hunks in the diff,
canvas/source/tools/page.cxx & canvas/source/tools/pagemanager.cxx both of these
have the offending 'std::remove' statement in m190 ( the minor that I build from
) and at least both of these files haven't changed between m190 & m193

also note the existing directive in slideshow/source/engine/presentation.cxx
mentioned above

>Are you sure that your source files are ok?
yep ( but somewhat modified by the ooo-build patches )

I can try a vanilla openoffice build, maybe ooo-build has changed the include
paths in a nasty way ( I doubt that though as there are people building with the
non-free versions on the compiler without any issue )

If a vanilla openoffice build fails in the same way for me then perhaps you do
not see the problem because you have existing sdk/compiler bits etc on your
machine? that may affect things. My machine prior to installing 2005 Express had
no dev tools installed on it at all ( it's a new machine )

I will not have a chance to build a vanilla version for a while ( a day or 2 at
least )
