User cmc changed the following: What |Old value |New value ================================================================================ Ever confirmed| |1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |NEW -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Nov 13 02:23:00 -0800 2006 ------- As bero says, we'd have to chase every release if we want to hold to searching in /lib/gcc-foo/libjvm.so and the libjvm was introduced to be sun-alike, so I reckon we shouldn't track /lib/gcc-foo but require a sun-alike set of links as done by debian and redhat and so on. So alternatively I suggest to instead add something to configure.in that detects if the gcj is an old one that has the jvm inside libgcj and do what we did back then, or a new one that has it in libjvm and in the new case fall into the existing sun test at configure time which will say something like "please use --with-jdk-home to set the location of libjvm" --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
