In particular~ http://jens.triq.net/thumbnail-spec/directory.html This would suggest that we should still write the 128px thumbnail, and additionally store the hi-res 256px thumbnail in 'thumbnails/large'. I think this Issue should be addressed more thoroughly, with review and Specification (or update current Spec: http://specs.openoffice.org/appwide/desktop_integration/ooo_file_thumbnails.sxw ). Some possible effects: - Stella (sts) will need to provide new icons for secured documents (see Issue 67523). Also higher-rez version of document seal for signed docs. - Users *will* notice the increased file size (see Issue 67371). - Option to disable thumbnail creation / resolution (see Issue 52095). I suspect this will generate further Issues, so it may be best to leave as-is until these points have been addressed. I'm sure early Vista adopters can be patient?!... ;-) CC Tino Rachui (Sun), who currently owns the thumbnail spec. All the best, Andrew PS- Is this 'Resolved- Fixed'?... in what CWS? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
