Take a spreadsheet with some data rows and columns like in the attached
document.

Mark the range A1:F6 and then start chart wizard by icon or by Insert - Chart.
Click on "2.Data range" and you see "$Sheet1.$A$1:$F$6", that's OK. Cancel.

Now mark A1:A6 release mouse, hold Ctrl down and mark B1:B6 and so on till
F1:F6. Notice, you have marked the same range than before. Start chart wizard
and look at "Data range". You see "$Sheet1.$F$1:$F$6". Only the last mouse
movement has been noticed. Cancel.

Now mark A1:F6. Hold Ctrl down and deselect B1:B6. Start Chart wizard. Notice,
that B1:B6 is shown in the starting preview. Goto "Data range". It is empty.
Cancel.

Now mark A1:A6, hold Ctrl down and mark C1:F6. Start Chart wizard. Data range
has only "$Sheet1.$C$1:$F$6".

Now do it the other way round, mark C1:FG, hold Ctrl down and mark A1:A6. Start
Chart wizard. Data range has only "$Sheet1.$A$1:$A$6".
