When logged in with my session, OOo 2.0.4 crashes everytime I try to open an
existing file. This problems occurs even if I first delete .openoffice.org2/.
Note that OOo doesn't crash when logged in as root or another Linux user; just
me?!

The error message I get is:

terminate called after throwing an instance of '(anonymous
namespace)::unknown_xml_format_exception'

OOo immediately asks me to send the crash report, then asks me if I want to
restore files. If I say 'yes', it crashes again. If I say 'no', I get an empty
document, as expected, but trying to open any file makes it crash again.

I use OOo for years now (since OOo 1.1 alpha); it's the first time such a
problem occurs.

Could it be possible that for some reason, OOo needs or looks at external
ressources which I don't have?? In other words, does OOo look at data outside
.openoffice.org2/?
