This issue has been discussed a bit here:
http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=28210

Regardless of how SWF files are associated, Flash files will not play when an
Impress presentation is running. Whenever I insert a Flash file into an Impress
presentation (Insert->Object-Plug-in) the Flash file plays fine when editing the
presentation. However, once I run the presentation (Slide Show) Impress only
shows the object icon with the words "Object 1" below it. I'm at a loss as to
hot to get this to work.

Getting this to work will help immensely in convincing my company to switch to
OpenOffice. We have alot of people in our company who wish to embed Flash and
video files within their presentations. If I can't get this to work it'll be a
show stopper...which would be a bummer! I hate Office 2007! ;)

Thanks in advance!

Jeff Whitfield
