2006 -------
Under WXP, in OOW 2.0.4, my master docs are using an obsolete version of my
customized menus. The old stuff (menu, std toolbar, formatting toolbar) also
appears when a new master is created.
IF this can be reproduced on your system, this should do it:
1) Open a new text document (right-click Starter icon, select "text doc")
2) Observe menu. It should be what you expect in your configuration.
3) Select File>Send>Create Master Document. Fill in the file name in the Save
dialog, and click Save.
4) The display changes: new title appears in window title bar, Navigator pane
opens with focus, and (in my system) obsolete menu / toolbars appear.
THEN pls confirm & open.
ELSE I have a configuration problem. Even so, the "Create Master" or the
subsequent "Display Master" process is a) looking for stuff in some weird place,
and b) finding old junk. The three .XML files in my App Data look good
(current). The master docs are using something else--toolbar changes within a
master are saved, and propagated to other masters. If anyone can point me at
the obsolete .XML, I will wreak havoc upon it.
ENDIF
It may be of interest that I have upgraded 2.0.2>2.0.3>2.0.4 /tj
