A document created in Word then edited in OOo 2.0.4 and saved as *.doc when
reopened in Word displays incorrectly.

I have page number set in the footer to display 'page # of #-total-pages.'

After reopening the document, the footer information includes the numbers but
also a small box after the numbers. I open the footer view in Word, right click
on the field and select update. The page number updates correctly and the box
goes away. However, the same procedure for the total number of pages gives an
error message that the field does not exist. It tries to replace the Word field
"NumPages" with the field "NumPage" This may be a header/footer conversion
issue.
