It is implemented as a plugin that works for both X11 and native AQUA versions of OOo for MAC OS X. With Spotlight integration, it is possible to nearly instantly search for OOo documents on Mac OS X, based on filename, contents of the document, and attributes (like author of the document) http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/spotlight/ I have a fully working implementation that is a derivative of LGPL licensed NeoLight plugin. http://mox.fidisk.fi/opensource/ooo_spotlight_plugin_src-1.0.tar.gz I have also successfully experimented with integrating the source in OOo build. I have been in contact with the original author of the code (Ed Peterlin) it's ok for him to put the code to OOo CVS, as long as the license (LGPL) and copyright (Ed Peterlin) are not changed. Martin: Could we integrate this code to OOo CVS in a similar way as mozilla, berkeleydb and fondu are integrated?
