------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Dec 13 06:50:04 -0800 2006 ------- Downloaded the new (2006-12-12) OOo 2.10 installer. I completely uninstalled 2.02 and rebooted. Then, I began the 2.10 installer. Selected Custom Install to change install drive but otherwise, full install. Everything seemed to go well/normal until the very end of the installation, where it had just registered components, etc. I expected to get a 'Install Complete' message but instead it began hitting the 'A:' drive (diskette) over and over. After about 10 tries, OO gave me an 'Internal Error # -xxxxxxxxx' 'OK' dialog. Sorry, I didn't record the long negative decimal error code. When I clicked OK, the entire install was rolled back and I got an OO dialog saying the install failed because of an internal error and nothing had been changed. Possibly related: The reason that I uninstalled 2.02 was to get a 'clean' install environment. I thought maybe that's why 2.04 wouldn't work. 2.04 installed fine but when run, it would immediately begin an error recovery sub-process and hang-- never showing anything on the screen.
