------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Dec 17 17:22:06 -0800 2006 ------- On Windows platforms, after uninstalling a development version of 2.1 or unofficial build 2.03 or 2.04, it is sometimes impossible to install OpenOffice 2.1. During the process, a dialog box appears saying that an newer version is already installed (even if there is none). This probably has to do with dirty registry (see issue 45477). Setting to P1 because some users reported it's impossible to install OOo in such circumstances, even after some cleaning of the registry. I'm waiting for confirmation if cleaning the registry using steps described in 45477 did resolve the problem. The problem can be easily reproduced on a machine with a commercial build from UX Systems: OpenOffice.ux.pl 2.04, see ftp://sunsite.icm.edu.pl/packages/OpenOffice/ux/OOo-2.0.4-1-Win32-ux.pl.exe (do not uninstall this build) and official 2.1 Polish build. The UX build is reported as newer. The older build should happily coexist with a newer one, moreover, it shouldn't be reported as newer. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
